Below is the link to this rather interesting article about the viability of self-publishing your own audio books. I’ve often thought about converting my own books to audio books but concerns about profitability always seemed to be a barrrier.
The bottom line, of course, is that question of what are the chances that one’s books will sell better as a result, and would sales at the very least cover the production costs and how long would that take?
Also, if anyone is interested, my daughter, Mikaila, who graduated from the UConn theater arts program, and is now working at a theater arts company in Manhattan, is considering starting a business as a voice over artist. She also is a singer. She has a great narrator’s voice and I’m considering hiring her for all seven of my books.
